                    Something quiet yet revolutionary in the world of wedding photography came into focus in August 2023...wedissimo, a new wedding booking platform launched with over 50 seasoned wedding photographers. 

The brain-child of Andrew Bowker and David Clark, wedissimo is a brand new end-to-end booking platform to help couples  find a wedding photographer, browse galleries, check availability with a real-time calendar for each wedding photographer, and ultimately book online.  

The site is clean, simple and lets the photographer's work do all the talking.  wedissimo operates like airbnb rather than a traditional wedding directory business, and gives couples the tools they need to make informed decisions and book the photographer they want for their wedding day without some of the faff.  

One particularly cool feature is all the little video shorts of each of the photographers, so you can get a chance to get to know the person behind the camera a little bit as well as view their work.  The listings give a clear run-down of what you will get with each package, and the range is pretty strong catering for budgets from £300 for a basic ceremony only package to £4,500+ full day with videography packages from some of the site's better known photographers.  

The site's search function lets you browse by area or the location of your venue, so you only see those photographers who are available on your date for your venue, with full price transparency of the packages on offer.

Offering a range of high quality photographers is clearly something that is close to the founder's hearts.  "We have tried to create something clean, transparent and simple.  We offer a strong range but we carefully vet the photographers on the platform which is currently invite only.  We have been blown away by the initial feedback."

It is early days and wedissimo is clearly skewed heavily towards the London and South-East region at present with only a little bit of coverage throughout the rest of the country.  That said, there is nothing quite like it in the UK and if you are looking for a wedding photographer, or simply want to check out prices as part of your research, wedissimo is a great first port of call.
