Set in the Regency spa town of Cheltenham, Manor By The Lake is a hidden gem in the heart of the town with award winning Italian Gardens and a private Lake. Manor by the Lake can cater for ceremonies from 10 guests to 250 inside or outside by the lake.
Alex & Olga both live in Dubai. Olga is Ukrainian and Alex British. He grew up in Cheltenham, where he got married at his parents local parish Church (St Mary’s in Charlton Kings).
Alex’s parents found and viewed the venue for them, they then viewed the Manor with one of their 'Virtual Viewings' which is provided for couples that cannot make a viewing themselves. They immediately fell in love with the venue and the rest of the wedding was planned via Skype meetings.
Olga is a wedding planner in Dubai so has extensive experience in high end weddings, she knew what she wanted and had her girlfriends all bring the day together seamlessly.
The couple met in a club when out one evening, whereby Alex told Olga he was Irish (although he’s not) after she initially asked him if he was a “typically boring British guy”. The rest is history!
They used Alex’s dad vintage car for the wedding day. Olga’s parent were unable to make it to the UK as were many friends, but Alex’s dad gave her away instead.
The couple have a great sense of fun and loved using the animal heads to make the most unusual of wedding pictures!!
