That Amazing Place, a beautifully presented countryside-wedding venue in the heart of Essex, was the setting of Darren and Katie’s recent nuptials and what a day it was.
Katie and Darren met just over eight years ago on the famous Match.com with Katie claiming to have set eyes on her future husband, “before it was ‘the norm’ to meet people online” and “before the days of swiping right”. It was on their very first day that Katie felt Darren would fit in with her family with ease, around the dinner table at Christmas. From that moment on, the couple’s love story began.
That Amazing Place: The Venue Of Their Dreams
There were a number of reasons that the happy couple were drawn to the stunning Essex wedding venue, with one aspect being the ultimate “blend of old and new”. Being fans of the décor was one thing, but saying you’d decorate your own home like it perhaps shows just how taken they really were. Katie explained, “We loved the grounds and felt like the inside and outside ceremony options were both as lovely as each other.” While other venues lacked suitable options for both inside and outside, That Amazing Place offered options for both that were just as exquisite as the other. Katie said, “I’m one of those people who never like their own party but we LOVED our wedding.”
Another aspect of the venue that really struck them happened to be the help they received from Angie, who they dubbed, “a total rock star.” They loved how easy Angie made everything for them. They even appreciated the ideas put their way to help their dream wedding come to life, “emails were answered late at night and even on weekends. Nothing was ever too much trouble.”
Katie and Darren were super laid back when it came to the theme, simply wanting something romantic yet stylish. They were intent on a relaxed atmosphere. Their intention was to avoid a formal or stuffy affair and with the help of Angie from That Amazing Place, that’s exactly what was created. They did however, want to enjoy a little fun and frolics and chose to hire the West End singing waiters who posed as waiters all day, before bursting into song. In the evening, they chose entertainment by the fabulous Piano DJ, current residents at That Amazing Place. While the happy couple enjoyed songs of their own choosing, they also found that the super talented DJ group “read the crowd on the night and played tune after tune. The dance floor was full all night long.”
