Kate & Michael held a summer wedding extravaganza over 4 days with 150 of their friends and family in attendance. They kicked off their long weekend with an epic welcome party on the Thursday night. They held their welcome party in our lovely hedged garden which provided an intimate and relaxing setting for their bohemian garden party. They hired a funky brass band, a mobile cocktail bar serving their favourite cocktails and had an American style food stall serving delicious beef brisket and favourites like mac n cheese. The outdoor party carried on well into the early hours.

Kate said, “As our venue can accommodate over 90 people, most of their guests stayed on site with many also bringing their camper vans and camping in our dedicated camping field next to the manor. With so many guests staying on site it provides a festival feel but with the comfort of the manor, also brings a homely, giant sleepover atmosphere. Many guests woke up with sore heads from the welcome party and had a relaxing day, exploring our beautiful grounds and swimming and boating on our private lake. An order of over 100 Cornish pasties were delivered right to the lake so the guests could enjoy their time on the water! Some guests explored the beauties of Dartmoor national park which the venue is situated in. Dinner that evening was a casual lasagna and salad and afterwards the group heading down to our fire pit in our secret garden area to enjoy drinks, chilled out music and toasted marshmallows. It was a lovely relaxing evening ahead of the big day. “

The outdoor ceremony on Saturday kicked off at noon followed by canapés in the upper garden and lovely acoustic music while the couple headed off around the grounds for photos and even had a row on the lake in their wedding attire! The lovely wedding breakfast was held in the marquee in the garden and was followed by an epic dance party with the last heading to bed at 6am! The weekend finished with a much needed Full English Breakfast on the Sunday morning before guests heading home.
