The Clifton Pavilion Bristol Zoo Gardens

We had the most wonderful wedding day from start to finish. The staff were fabulous. And couldn't of done more for us. The afternoon tea was delicious and had plenty to eat Everyone had the best day. So many compliments on the venue, food and drinks. I couldn't thank you all enough for everything.

We don't know how to put into words how thankful we are to you for making our day completely perfect. It was amazing from start to finish. You thought of everything to ensure our day was perfect even making sure the surprises ran smoothly and keeping the secrets, I had no idea!! The ceremony went smoothly as could be, with the extra chorus of the flamingos. The food was exquisite, which everybody commented on! All the staff we were so kind, thoughtful and couldn't do enough to help us and our families. Alysha you were an absolute angel throughout the whole day. Keeping me calm and ensuring the day went as amazingly as it could. Even going the extra mile with the cocktail bar. You looked after all guests brilliantly. I would recommend the Clifton Pavilion again and again for any occasion. We are beyond happy with our day at the zoo. You made that possible. Thank you again.

As soon as we saw the Clifton Pavilion we fell in love with the decor. The Clifton Suite is truly stunning and was exactly the sort of place we had in mind for our wedding ceremony and breakfast. The fact that guests could have a wander around the zoo was a bonus and certainly added an element of something different to our wedding day! The staff were incredible. Meg should win an award for her organisational skills on the day. Everything worked like clockwork and she was on hand every step of the way to ensure we knew what was happening and that things were going as planned. She was amazing the day before the wedding when I had a wobble about an external supplier. Before I knew it we had a plan B in place and I instantly knew I was in safe hands. We’d highly recommend the zoo to host your wedding. It’s a great, central location, our guests loved the novelty and we had a fabulous day! Thank you so much to all involved!

I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. The room was stunning and set up beautifully. Meeting with the coordinator the day before was reassuring and absolutely everything was arranged as we envisaged. The ceremony room upstairs was beautiful with lovely views over the zoo. The lions roared bang on cue at the end of the service!! Canapés and cocktails were very nice and plentiful.....the absence of forks or sticks for the olives etc made eating them difficult (only gripe of the day!!!!) Visiting the gardens was a great way to spend that time during photos and waiting for the reception to start. The main reception upstairs had been laid out again beautifully and all to plan. Expert organisation. Food was nice the starter tasty goats cheese tart, pork loin and a very delicious cheesecake. Plenty of nice wine and all not used was taken downstairs for evening guests. The bar was open all day and well stocked. Evening food was also hot and plentiful. Overall the day ran smoothly, the staff were discreet yet efficient and everything was packed up ready for taking home early the next day. Thank you to Jodie and the team for a lovely day for my daughter Rosie and her husband Ben.

The day was fantastic and appeared to be seamless from start to end. The staff were all lovely and approachable if you needed anything. As a bridesmaid I was a little nervous about knowing exactly where to stand or what to do- but the friendly staff were great at explaining and offering reassurance. The venue itself was fantastic especially for this bride and groom- who are complete animal lovers! Going around the zoo - was such a highlight for me and any guests that were visiting the zoo were considerate when photos were being taken, and were kind offering their congrats to the bride and groom when walking about. The food was brilliant! The best thing about it was generous portion sizes that still appeared to be 'fancy' and sophisticated. It was all really tasty and everyone on our table commented on how lovely it all was!
