  • Origins date back to 11th Century and was founded by the French Knight, William de Tracey, known to be one of the assassins of Thomas a Becket, Archbishop of Cantebury.
  • This beautiful stone chapel retains many of its original features, including its Tudor windows with stone hoods, ornate finials adorning the roof and fully functioning original bell in the west gable.

Lady Margaret's civil wedding venue is tucked away down the end of a country lane just on the outskirts of the small East Devon town of Honiton, famous for its historic lace production, right in the heart of the South West of England. Set in its own small private garden for your exclusive use on your wedding day, Lady Margaret's is just off the A30 on the south western side of Honiton. Honiton is situated close to the River Otter, 17 miles (27 km) north east of Exeter and J28 off the M5. The A30, A35 and the A373 all pass by here providing good access from all directions of Devon and beyond. Honiton also boasts its own railway station on the West of England Main Line that runs from London Waterloo through to Exeter. The entrance to Lady Margaret's Medieval Hall is through the large gates at the end of Beggars Lane. Please note this is the only entrance, there is no direct access from Exeter Road.
