Elmore Court is a unique and award winning Wedding and Events Venue in Gloucestershire. The house was originally established as a home in the 13th Century and has views over the Cotswolds and River Severn. The same family opened it up for fun and games in 2013. It includes a historic house and its gardens, a rammed earth building, amazing food, fine wine, boundless music and a large slice of love.
Elmore Court, an unusual Country House like no other. With over 700 years of family history it is yet wildly young at heart, sustainably run, consistently rated 5 stars and entirely surrounded by stunning countryside set in a bend of the River Severn. The historic house, over the centuries, was built to entertain and has recently been entirely refurbished along with the addition of a stunning sustainably built sound proofed event space called ‘the Gillyflower’ made from rammed earth and materials gathered from the land. As a country house wedding venue, it is pretty close to perfect with several brilliant options for the ceremony and reception including the historic and magical Great Hall, a Norman church described as being one of England’s prettiest and so much more both outside and in. The house has 16 elegantly and comfortably designed bedrooms and can sleep 35 guests of the married couple. Included in the hiring of the venue is the newly renovated Coach House which brides or grooms have access to for the night before to enjoy some spa treatments and so that they and some select friends and family can wake up at Elmore, hair, makeup and a small glass of something perhaps. Elmore Court is an incredibly well thought through venue for exclusive weddings of up to 200 people and sometimes beyond. People love it and it delivers.
Elmore Court is situated on the banks of the River Severn just outside the Cotswolds and is very easy to find from the M5.
We had simply the best day ever! The service in the Cathedral was great, and any danger of the day going flat after such a service was immediately put to bed by the fantastic time everybody had when arriving with you. All the feedback from our guests has been very positive, they loved the house and atmosphere during the drinks reception was magical, the canapes went down a treat too. As for The Gillyflower, there are not enough words! The meal was great, and some of the photos we have in front of the windows, the stunning background looks like we are stood in front of a painting. Everybody has nothing but praise for the time at Elmore, please pass on our thanks to all the staff who contributed to such a great day. It really was the most incredible day, we could not have wished for more!
