Located on the bank of the River Irwell where Salford meets Manchester, The Lowry Hotel is a peaceful hideaway in the city centre perfect for the most intimate of weddings or the grandest of celebrations.

We approached The Lowry Hotel for our wedding because of its reputation for outstanding customer service as well as knowing the hotel well from previous stays. We were initially met by Laura Krasij from the Events Team who took us through our options and immediately put us at ease about our big day. Once we had spent half an hour with Laura we knew that we had found the right place to get married. Laura was extremely friendly and helpful in guiding us through what we might require for the big day. Laura gave help and advice on how we could make the day as special as possible. We were taken aback by what was included in the package that we booked ranging from a Riverside Suite for our wedding night and 3 tiered cake from Slattery’s to flowers and a toastmaster. The day itself was one of the most memorable of our lives and a lot of that was down to the hotel and the staff that make it such a special place to be. It was lovely to see Laura stood on the front steps of the hotel with two glasses of champagne waiting for bride and groom to arrive. It makes such a difference when you know that the person responsible for all of your arrangements is present on the day and stays late into the evening to make sure things go according to plan. Everything on the day was amazing from the food and drink to how the room was set up (flowers and lighting in the room when we were introduced by Malcolm the toastmaster still brings tears to the eyes). Looking back I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else. It really was the most amazing day of our lives shared by friends and family. It amazes me that staff members always remember your name no matter how long it has been since your last visit. Its little things like this that make a difference. We still regularly return to the hotel to eat and see familiar faces who looked after us so well on our wedding day. It always brings back special memories of a special day at a very special hotel.

Having my wedding at the Lowry was always a dream of mine and when this became a reality last summer it certainly didn't disappoint. Laura and her team were a pleasure to work with. They were so meticulous with detail and really brought to life the vision we had. The Lowry Hotel is a well and truly a 5 star wedding venue. From our first contact with the hotel we knew our wedding would go off without a hitch! Our personal wedding planner was fantastic and couldn’t do more to help us along our way. The accessibility for face to face meetings and other communication was great - just what was needed when planning such a special day. We couldn’t fault a thing with the Lowry Hotel as our venue and the suppliers that they recommended were as equally of the highest standards. As a local couple we wanted the best our city could offer us for our big day. Ourselves and all our friends and family were well and truly impressed by the venue, the food, the service and the hotel - best wedding ever they all say!

From the first moment we enquired about booking the wedding we were well looked after by the whole team. In the last 6 months before the wedding Laura and her team came into their own, helping us to see how the venue could be decorated; helping us with our issues with a laidback venue dresser and accommodated any request that we had. We had a fantastic menu tasting session were the chef could alter the menus and even the look of the food (not that it required it as the food was fantastic!) the one problem was that it was so difficult to choose from such a beautiful variety! The whole event was fantastic value for money as we felt like VIPs all day and nothing was a problem for Laura and James on the day. (One guest had forgotten to tell us that his wife was vegetarian - when the groom had a little whisper in Laura's ear about this - it was dealt with quickly and efficiently and the guest managed to get away with not letting his wife know his little hiccup!!) Laura and her team looked after us throughout the run-up to the wedding with all planning arrangements and even providing us with some ideas. The hotel rooms were fantastic, all of our guests were very impressed, and we were in awe at our honeymoon suite as we managed to get the Riverside Suite! Nothing was too much for the staff and their attention to detail, their courtesy as well as the ability to blend into the background was second to none. The Lowry Hotel as a venue is a fantastic setting for a wedding and Laura and her team are an enhancement to this. We would highly recommend as this is a five star hotel with five star staff.

I was going to write a big long thank you note for Saturday but simply put, you made what was always going to be an amazing day, absolutley perfect. The whole team at the Lowry were amazing from the team that waited us on at during teh wedding breakfast to the bar staff throughout the day, and the guys at the private dining breakfast. However, extra special thanks to Laura Krasij and also to Malcolm (our toastmaster) and Anthony (who ran the smoothest ship). Please do let them know how special they all made the day for us. You kept us calm, had everything completley in control (essential for a control freak like me!) and you were all just a pleasure to be with and plan our wedding with.
