Venue Details

Nestled amongst the rolling Welsh hills of the Brecon Beacons and a stone’s throw from beautiful Llangorse Lake, sits the stunning Tall John’s House.
Set in its beautiful grounds is our blank canvas wedding venue in our wonderful stone Barn, which has been completely restored to make the perfect wedding venue for up to 150 guests with integral toilets and catering area. We have also restored the nearby Granary to make an alternative civil ceremony venue or extra reception space so that we can be as flexible as possible to fit in with your dreams for your big day.

The barn is a blank canvas venue - it is yours to style as you wish, to create a space that is personal, individual and unique to you. We know every bride is different, every couple is unique and your wedding day should reflect that. To help you create the wedding day of your dreams we offer you the chance to make the barn your own - your friends, your family, your style. People have been marrying from this house since 1588 and even before! The Manor House as we know it, was built, to celebrate the demise of the Spanish Armada. Standing alone, set in it’s beautiful grounds and looking out across the valley to the Black Mountains, we are blessed with a wonderful and unique position – no traffic noise, stunning night skies, privacy and tranquillity.
